Evelyn ‘Eve’ Esther Scott

July 13, 1927 — March 21, 2013

A funeral service was conducted on Monday, March 25, for Evelyn “Eve” Esther Scott, of Turlock, who died Thursday, March 21, at Paramount Court Senior Living in Turlock.

Mrs. Scott, 85, was a native of Lompoc and lived in Turlock for three years. She was an administrative secretary for 50 years, working for Shasta Hospital in Redding and was a dispatcher for Richmond Police Department and Shasta County Sheriff Department.

Mrs. Scott was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Crows Landing Ward, Past President of Toastmasters and Teacher of Daughters of Utah Pioneers.

Mrs. Scott is survived by her daughters, Denise Miller of Patterson and Roselynne Holley of Hilmar; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Steven Childers and daughter, Linda Bergdale.

The Monday, March 25, funeral service was conducted at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Crows Landing. Burial was at Lompoc District Cemetery in Lompoc.

Instead of flowers the family prefers that friends and relatives do a good deed for a family member or a stranger in Mrs. Scott’s memory and have a positive outlook towards people.

Hillview Funeral Chapel, 450 W. Las Palmas Ave., Patterson, is handling the arrangements.
