Patterson Judo is registering students for beginning judo classes.

Instructor Aarian Imada leads the classes, for children 4 to 12 years old, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Fridays at Trinity Dance Studio, 1045 Sperry Ave., Ste. I.

Imada, 23, has a black belt through the United States Judo Federation and has competed in several national events since taking up the martial art as a child in San Jose.

Judo emphasizes discipline, respect and a tradition in which students learn from their opponents in practice and competition, according to Imada, a 2007 graduate of Patterson High School.

The monthly cost for one session each week is $50.

Information: Aarian Imada, 408-607-2351 or am.imadajudo@gmail.com
