  • WHAT: Del Puerto Health Care District board meeting

  • WHEN: 7 p.m. Tuesday

  • WHERE: 875 E St.

The Del Puerto Health Care District’s board will review a proposed agreement to terminate the lease for the district’s health care center at 1108 Ward Ave. at its Tuesday meeting.

District officials hope to move the center to a new location at the Keystone Pacific Business Park in western Patterson. The new location would solve overcrowding issues and allow for expansion, district officials said.

However, the center’s landlord, John Ramos, has opposed the move, stating a medical facility like the district proposes is not allowed in the business park.

The Patterson Planning Commission got a chance to review the matter twice. The most recent review happened after Ramos appealed the commission’s first ruling. Both times the commission said the facility is an allowable use.

Ramos has again appealed the decision. His appeal is scheduled to go before the Patterson City Council on April 7.

District officials did not provide a copy of the termination agreement before press time.
