The Tigers got solid contributions from their qualifying varsity boys, landing in three events during the Thursday opening round of the season-ending section meet.
Patterson coach Amy Castillo said her athletes strived to get their best times in their final races of the year.
“Being able to watch swimmers from around the section compete so diligently was amazing,” Castillo said. “I was very proud, leaving there knowing that our kids did their best. I hope that we can continue to take athletes to compete in such an event.”
Sacramento-area swimmers won 19 of 22 boys and girls championship finals.
The Patterson varsity boys 200-yard medley relay team of seniors Michael D’Onofrio and Austin Johnson, junior Aaron Gonzales and sophomore Matthew Schaa finished third in their heat and posted a time of 1 minute, 51.2 seconds.
D’Onofrio posted a personal-best time in his varsity boys 100 breaststroke (1:05.86) and earned a 2:14.06 finish in his varsity boys 200 individual medley.
