According to a release from the city of Patterson, the goal of the meeting is to address the public safety concerns of the citizens and incorporate community members in creating solutions to develop a safer community.
“I am grateful for the service our local law enforcement officials have provided our residents,” Molina quoted in the release. “But in our efforts to continue serving our community well, we must develop a stronger relationship with our law enforcement officials.”
Hughes expressed her optimism in co-hosting the event.
“I am excited to co-facilitate alongside Mayor Molina,” she said in the release. “We are both supporters of community oriented policing and we are both confident that working in partnership with the Patterson community will provide positive outcomes.”
The city is hopeful that the joint effort between city officials, law enforcement and community members will prove to be beneficial for all.
