A Memorial Service will be conducted on Wednesday, July 24, for Ronald Wheeland of Patterson, who died on Sunday, July 14, at Kaiser Hospital in Modesto.

Mr. Wheeland, 69, was born in Vallejo and was a lifetime resident of Patterson. He worked for Patterson Frozen Foods as a forklift driver for 40 years and was a lifetime member of Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Patterson. He served on the church council for many years in several positions. He enjoyed fishing, camping, farming, raising cattle and helping family and friends. His favorite hobby was making homemade sausage

Mr. Wheeland is survived by his mother, Vivian Wheeland of Patterson; brothers, Vernon Wheeland of Crows Landing, William Wheeland and Dennis Wheeland, both of Patterson; sisters, Carolyn Pickett of Modesto, Diana Wheeland of Pleasanton, Cynthia Hoehn of Truckee and Mary Garcia of Modesto. His father, Jack Lee Roy Wheeland and brother, Daniel Wheeland, preceded him in death.

A memorial service will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 24 at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, 650 W. Las Palmas Ave., in Patterson.

Hillview Funeral Chapel, 450 W. Las Palmas Ave., Patterson is handling the arrangements.
