The Howard Training Center Senior Meal Program provides lunches at 11:45 a.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays at the Hammon Senior Center, 1033 W. Las Palmas Ave.

Local businesses and individuals provide lunches on Thursdays at the senior center.

The suggested donation is $2 for men and women age 60 and older. Those younger than 60 must pay $5. Thursday meals are provided by community organizations.

Reservations should be made before noon a day in advance by calling 895-8197 for meals on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays or 895-8180 for Thursday meals.

Thursday, Aug. 1: Chinese food provided by China Wok

Friday: Oven baked chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, mixed vegetables, ambrosia salad, whole-wheat bread

Monday, Aug. 5: Swedish meatballs, rice, mixed vegetables, garden salad with Italian dressing, mandarin oranges, pudding

Tuesday: Chicken Parmesan, steamed rice, carrots, tossed salad with ranch dressing, orange juice, whole-wheat bread

Wednesday: Salisbury steak with gravy, mashed potatoes, California blend, apple, biscuit

Thursday: Tri-tip, garlic potatoes, salad, dessert provided by the Patterson Fire Department

Friday: Barbecue chicken, sweet potatoes, creamy coleslaw, orange, cornbread

Monday, Aug. 12: Chicken and dumplings, yellow corn, mandarin oranges, pudding

Tuesday: Beef and cheese enchiladas, refried beans, tossed green salad with Thousand Island dressing, carrot broccoli mix, orange juice

Wednesday: Roast pork, mashed potatoes, gravy, peas and carrots, applesauce, whole- wheat bread

Thursday: Chicken salad sandwich on a hoagie roll, ambrosia salad provided by the Senior Meals Task Force

Friday: Baked potato with chili and cheese, carrot raisin salad, orange juice, cornbread

Monday, Aug. 19: Marinated chicken sandwich on a whole-wheat bun, tomato soup, Scandinavian vegetables, pudding, apple juice

Tuesday: Macaroni and cheese, mixed vegetables, garden salad with Italian dressing, pineapple and mandarin mix

Wednesday: Barbecue pulled pork, flour tortilla, creamy coleslaw, sweet potato fries, orange juice, and birthday cake

Thursday: Pizza and salad provided by Little Caesar’s

Friday: Rotini with meat sauce, spinach salad, mixed vegetables, mandarin oranges, garlic French bread

Monday, Aug. 26: Chicken cacciatore, pasta, mixed vegetables, orange juice, apple

Tuesday: Beef stew, mashed potatoes, tossed salad with Thousand Island dressing, peaches, whole-wheat bread

Wednesday: Beef tacos, flour tortilla, with cheese, lettuce and tomatoes, broccoli, ambrosia salad

Thursday: Spaghetti, garlic bread, salad provided by the Senior Meals Task Force

Friday: Breaded fish filet with lemon slice and tartar sauce, peas and carrots, coleslaw, orange, whole-wheat bread
