A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, Aug. 15 for Adela Segoviano Isquierdo, who died on Sunday, Aug. 11 in Modesto after a long illness.

Adela Segoviano Isquierdo was born on Feb. 10, 1955 in Alamo, Texas, to Julian and Guadalupe Isquierdo. She had a strong Catholic faith and was a devoted daughter, sister and aunt living life caring for others. She was retired from J.C. Penney Company after 35 years of service. Ms. Isquierdo’s big heart was for listening and caring dearly for her many nieces and nephews.

Ms. Isquierdo leaves behind her parents, Julian and Guadalupe Isquierdo; sisters, Connie and brother, Javier (Javi, Kamrynn, Eden and Renee), Lupe Ortiz (Robert and Family), Antonia Isquierdo-Ruddick (Lewis and Family); brothers, Jose Luis Isquierdo (Norma and Family), Julian Isquierdo (Amelia and Family), Jesse Isquierdo (and Family) and Gaudencia; Robert Isquierdo (Son Kurtis and Family) and Dave Isquierdo (Rebecca and Family) and many, many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her; brother, Frank Isquierdo; nephew, Julian Robert Isquierdo; grandparents, Evaristo and Maria Segoviano, Jose and Paula Isquierdo; infants brother, Roberto and sister, Antonia.

A visitation will be observed from 6 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 14 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 529 I St., in Patterson followed by a recitation of the rosary at 7 p.m.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 15 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Patterson. Burial will follow at Patterson District Cemetery, 10800 Highway 33, Patterson.

Memorial contributions in Ms. Isquierdo’s name may be sent to Sacred Heart Church Building Fund, 529 I St., Patterson, CA 95363 or any Hospice organization.

Hillview Funeral Chapel, 450 W. Las Palmas Ave., Patterson, is handling the arrangements. .
