Grossly unfair to allow illegal aliens to cut in line

Editor:

I was appalled to see the front page article on the campaign supporting amnesty for serial violators of our immigration laws. The idea that legal status, much less citizenship, should be granted to millions of lawbreakers is an affront to the rule of law and U.S. sovereignty. It is also grossly unfair to allow millions of illegal aliens to cut in line ahead of those who are going through the legal immigration process and patiently waiting in their home countries to come here. There is already a "path to citizenship" and/or legal status. Millions have taken it and continue to do so.

As to those who were brought here as children, they are now illegally being spared from deportation by this lawless President's executive decrees. They are using their stories as emotional blackmail to coerce us into giving their parents legal status. Their parents put them in this position, not the U.S. government or its citizens. We are not punishing their parents for "seeking a better life" (as legal immigrants do all the time) as Ms. Ventura maintains. We are punishing them for breaking our laws. Illegal aliens, IF they are working for a legal employer who is paying them and reporting their taxes, are also likely committing document fraud (bogus social security no., false green cards).

Finally, I am very disappointed in Congressman Denham for supporting this. I thought I was voting for a conservative when I helped elect a Republican to represent me. It appears, that on this issue at least, he is no better than the Democrats who were my previous congressmen. But it appears that both Republicans and Democrats want cheap labor and new voters. It is likely that the Republicans will get the cheap labor and the Democrats will get most of the new voters. But the citizens and legal immigrants (several of them, friends of mine) will pay the price.

It appears that English is not your first language, as your comment is mostly incoherent. So legal immigrants and citizens will not do the work illegals do? No, they will not do it at the wages being paid. This also depresses wages and employment in other industries illegals now work in. Yet, time and again, when factories are raided and illegals are removed, unemployed citizens line up to take those jobs. Erosion of the rule of law is not something I will "quit the crying about". We should be helping legal immigrants first.
