Antsy McClain returns

WHERE: Westside Theatre, 1331 Main St., Newman

WHEN: Saturday, Sept.14 at 8 p.m.; doors open at 7 p.m.

DETAILS: Antsy McClain and the Trailer Park Troubadours return to the Westside Theatre for another fun-filled show. McClain’s poetry, heart-felt ballads and humorous tales have garnered praise from other country artists. The band recently performed a show for a Public Broadcasting Service documentary series by Peter Berkow. The PBS film will be part of a 13-program series that will also include guitarist Roy Rogers and other entertainers.

COST: $24 general admission, $28 reserved section

Dancers host fundraiser

WHERE; Trinity Dance Center 1045 Sperry Ave., Suite L

WHEN: 4 to 7 p.m. to pick up the takeout dinners

DETAILS: The Trinity Dance Performance Team members are selling tickets until Tuesday, Sept. 17 for an enchilada takeout dinner on Sept. 19, a Thursday. Tickets are available at the dance center on Sperry Avenue where the dinners will also be picked up. Money raised will go to the dance team.

COST: $18 for six enchiladas, rice, beans, salad or $32 for 12 enchiladas, rice, beans and salad.

All Veterans are welcome

WHERE: Father Connors Hall, 220 N. Salado Ave.

WHEN: 6 to 9 p.m.

DETAILS: The Elijah B. Hayes American Legion Post No. 168 will be hosting its second veterans’ social night of the fall. Veterans of all eras are welcome, as well as their companions. Legion membership is not required. Pizza and beverages will be provided.

Night at the Museum

WHEN: 6 to 8 p.m.

WHERE: Center Building on Plaza Circle

DETAILS: The Patterson Township Historical Society will hosts its third annual Night at the Museum and open the museum in the center building to attendees. One new addition this year is the local Soroptimist Club’s Patterson High School room display.

The ticket reservation form will be sent out this week in the latest issue of “Spokes” the historical society publication. Those who wish to attend should fill out the reservation form and mail it back to the society. Tickets will be mailed to attendees.

COST: $20 per person

Apricot Fiesta sets annual meeting

WHEN: 7 p.m.

WHERE: Patterson Apricot Fiesta office, 26 S. Third St.

DETAILS: The Patterson Apricot Fiesta will hold its annual meeting at the Fiesta office and all are welcome to attend. The meeting focuses on reports from nominating committee for officers and board members for the coming year and any amendments to bylaws or constitution. The regular meeting follows with election of officers and board members and committee reports.
