An Arco AM/PM station is still in the works for Sperry Avenue just east of Ward Avenue, even as delays have plagued the property’s owners.
“There’s an Arco definitely still in the works,” developer J.P. Smith said Monday, Sept. 16. “We also have a strong business going in next door.”
Smith said the service-related business going in next to the Arco AM/PM would be two doors east of the Walgreen’s on Sperry and next to the planned Arco.
The Arco is expected to feature electric car chargers as part of its magnetisms.
The project will feature a 2,900-square-foot AM/PM convenience store, a car wash, and eight fuel pumps covered by a canopy.
Planning commissioners requested the site also house at least two extra shade trees and two electric car-charging stations in the spring of 2011.
A restaurant is also slated north of Sperry, just north of the Walgreen’s on Ward Avenue, according to developer J.P. Smith.
Smith said he could not elaborate which full service restaurant would be potentially occupying the land north of Walgreens, but expected a land deal to be done soon on the project.
