The Ravens’ junior varsity youth football team took care of business Saturday, Oct. 5, in a 25-8 victory against the Central Saints at Central Catholic High School in Modesto.

The Ravens clinched the Trans-Valley Youth Football League division with the win over the Modesto-based squad, and remain unbeaten at 8-0.

After trailing 8-0 on Saturday, the Ravens scored 25 unanswered points to bury the Saints.

"After the initial score, Central never threatened again as the defense clamped down," said Ravens’ coach Joe Powers.

On the receiving end of quarterback Zachary Rodriguez's three touchdown passes were Gregory Reichmuth, who made a 43-yard TD grab, Josh Wheeler, who hauled in a 20-yard scoring pass and Miguel Alvarez, who added a 23-yarder for the visitors.

Caden Williams added a touchdown jaunt of 60 yards in a decisive win for the Ravens.

Two unbeaten teams meet in a late-season showdown when the Ravens host the Ripon Knights (8-0 Modesto Metro Conference) on Saturday, Oct. 12 at Patterson Community Stadium.

Results for other Ravens teams were not submitted by press time.
