For the second straight week, Patterson’s Marc Meyer is the top pigskin prognosticator.

Meyer selected winners in seven of 11 NFL games and nine of 11 college games during Week 8 of the Irrigator’s football contest to win $25.

Zach Wheeland, also of Patterson, won a gift basket from Patterson Family Pharmacy with his tie-breaker prediction of Patterson High defeating Los Banos High, 27-9, which was nearly correct. The Tigers defeated Los Banos 28-10 last week.

Entries are due at the Patterson Irrigator, 26 N. Third St., by 5 p.m. Friday, or must be postmarked by 5 p.m.

The football contest wraps up the weekend of Nov. 15.
