Walnut Grove School honored librarian Mary Ann Yarbrough at a dedication ceremony last week her for 15 years of service to the Patterson Joint Unified School District. Yarbrough (center) pictured with assistant principal Juan Navarro (left) and Principal Alma Romo is moving to Nashville, Tenn. Students and staff gathered outside in the school courtyard and four students wrote and recited speeches that each ended with a “Library Girl” quote. A plaque honoring the school librarian says: “This room is dedicated to our Library Girl, Mary Ann Yarbrough for opening our Walnut Grove Library and dedicating 15 years of service to Patterson Joint Unified School District.” – submitted by Lori Hay
