Destruction on Halloween

I read your article about Patterson not showing the Halloween Spirit. It is sad and I have noticed in recent years the lack if decorations, but this year I joined them for the first time in my life. We have always decorated and my kids have always carved pumpkins. Four years ago, both kids worked very hard on their pumpkins and the morning of Halloween, the pumpkins had been stolen.

Of course, they couldn't understand why. They've never carved a pumpkin again. Two years ago the big witch that I had always stuck up in my tree and stapled to a tree branch, was torn out of the tree and left at the base. It's foot was almost torn completely off when someone ripped it down out of the tree. Last year we needed some new decorations so I went out and purchased a triple headed pumpkin for $32 that you plug in. I bought it the morning of Halloween. When we came home from trick-or-treating that same night, it was also gone, along with the head of Frankenstein. A neighbor said they saw a boy throw up his hood run up, unplug it and ran off with a group of older kids. I have no idea if this has happened to other people that have now said enough is enough, but for us enough is enough.
