Walnut Grove Elementary’s kindergarten through eighth-grade class had their third annual Jog-A-Thon, a school-wide fitness fundraiser on Oct 18. Walnut Grove’s students, staff, parents and community members participated by running, jogging and skipping laps. The fall Jog-A-Thon is the biggest event of the Parent Teacher Organization fundraisers and raised more than $10,000 in pledges. Students who bring in various levels of pledge money receive T-shirts, an Apple iPod, an Amazon Kindle and even a limo ride to Pizza Plus.

The classes with the most pledges win pizza or ice cream parties. All prizes will be announced at the Walnut Grove awards ceremony on Friday, Nov. 15.
