Patterson Police collecting holiday donations for vets

Patterson Police Services is aiding the area Veteran’s Administration by collecting donations for needy veterans this holiday season. Donations will be given to Home Based Primary Care for the Veteran’s Administration who, along with Stanislaus County Veteran Services, will distribute any collected gifts to the needs of veterans.

Items or monetary donations can be dropped off at the Patterson Police Services station at 33 S. Del Puerto Ave.

Veterans are especially in need of standard pillowcases and pillows, toothpaste and toothbrushes, packages of instant coffee and sugar free hot chocolate, socks, combs, shaving cream razors, body lotion, Christmas ornaments, small bars of bath soap, shampoo, stocking hats, backpack pouches for wheelchairs, lap blankets and scarves this holiday season.

Donations should be made by December 5.
