Deputies from the Patterson Police Services will be hosting an event at Blue’s Café, 34 S. Del Puerto Ave., to meet and greet members of the public, Thursday, Dec. 5 starting at 8 a.m.

The event dubbed “Coffee with Cops” has been a success in other area cities like Modesto and Ceres, recently.

Deputies are inviting residents to stop by for an informal and casual conversation with members of Patterson Police Services.

Patterson Police Sgt. Paul Yotsuya said the intent of the event is to provide a friendly atmosphere that encourages open communication between residents and police.

Patterson Police Chief Tori Hughes said anyone who has any questions or concerns could bring those to the informal meeting at Blue’s Café and have coffee with a deputy. She said it was a chance for residents to get to know their deputies.

Some misprints are down right funny. I'm wondering exactly how to hose coffee?
