Patterson High's boys soccer and volleyball teams have earned all-league recognition from the Western Athletic Conference.

Patterson's boys soccer team finished third in the final WAC standings with a 17-4-1 record, qualifying for their second straight appearance in the Sac-Joaquin Section playoffs.

Junior co-captains Marcos Melendez and Fernando Ramos, and classmate Andres Herrera were named to the first team, while teammates Osvaldo Barbosa (senior), Jose Morales (junior), Israel Sotelo (senior) and Argenis Torres (junior) all earned second-team honors.

After a volleyball season that saw Patterson put together its first SJS Division III playoff run in 10 years, the Tigers' hard work appeared to pay off as the All-WAC honorees were announced.

Two Tigers were dignified with first-team all-WAC spots, with Patterson seniors Dayna Hansen and Mele Tupouata earning berths, the league office announced.

Seniors Kiara Job and Mariele Schut, as well as, sophomore Julia Sill each received an honorable mention.
