City extends application process for commissions, committees

Due to lack of applications, the city of Patterson is extending their application process for open vacancies in several city-wide initiatives as of late December.

Patterson is currently looking for involved, determined individuals to meet the needs and fill the voids left in the following organizations:

+ Economic Strategic Commission— Terms expire in April 2014. Currently, there is only one vacancy. By April 2014, however, two terms will experience, totaling 3 vacancies.

+ Parks and Recreation Commission—Terms have expired as of December 2013. Currently, there are four vacancies.

+ Beautification Committee— Terms have expired as of September 2013. Currently, there are four vacancies.

+ Senior Center Board of Directors—Two terms will expire in January 2014, leaving two vacancies.

Residents interested in representing the city of Patterson’s various committees are encouraged to apply. Applications can be picked up at City Hall, 1 Plaza, or downloaded off the city website, listed under Documents & Forms Library at http://www.ci.patterson.ca.us/. Appointed members will be required to pass a DOJ fingerprint test.

Applications must be submitted to the City Clerk, City Hall, Second Floor or by email at cityclerk@ci.patterson.ca.us by 5 p.m. Friday, January 31, 2014.
