The Howard Training Center Senior Meal Program provides lunches at 11:45 a.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays at the Hammon Senior Center, 1033 W. Las Palmas Ave.

Local businesses and individuals provide lunches on Thursdays at the senior center.

The suggested donation is $2 for men and women age 60 and older. Those younger than 60 must pay $5. Thursday meals are provided by community organizations.

Reservations should be made before noon a day in advance by calling 895-8197 for meals on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays or 895-8180 for Thursday meals.

Thursday, Jan. 9 Lunch provided by businesses and individuals

Friday: Two beef and cheese enchiladas, refried beans, tossed green salad, carrot and broccoli mix, mandarin oranges

Monday, Jan. 13

Marinated chicken sandwich, on whole-wheat roll, tomato soup, California blend vegetables, pudding, apple juice

Tuesday: Meatloaf, mashed potatoes with gravy, steamed garlic spinach, pineapple, wheat bread

Wednesday: Barbecue pulled pork on a bun, creamy coleslaw, sweet potato, orange juice

Thursday: Lunch provided by business and individuals

Friday: Macaroni and cheese, mixed vegetables, garden salad with Italian dressing, orange, cornbread

Monday, Jan. 20 Martin Luther King birthday observed; program closed

Tuesday: Ham and cheese on wheat with lettuce and tomato slice, minestrone soup, pineapple and mandarin

Wednesday: Breaded fish fillet with lemon slice and tartar sauce, peas and carrots, creamy coleslaw, fresh fruit, wheat bread

Thursday: Lunch provided by businesses and individuals

Friday: Beef stew with mashed potatoes, tossed salad with Thousand Island dressing, pears, wheat bread

Monday, Jan. 27 Hamburger, tomato, onion, lettuce, potato salad, fresh orange

Tuesday: Tostada salad with Thousand Island dressing, broccoli, apricots

Wednesday: Oven baked chicken, mashed potatoes with gravy, mixed vegetables, ambrosia fruit salad, wheat bread

Thursday: Lunch provided by businesses and individuals

Friday: Breaded pork chop, garlic mashed potatoes, steamed broccoli, garden salad with Italian Dressing, applesauce
