An ideal diet ensures we're getting the appropriate amounts of essential nutrients from the foods we eat on a daily basis, but unfortunately the ideal is not the reality for most. According to a recent analysis of NHANES data (2001-2008) commissioned by Nature Made, Americans are missing out on adequate levels of six essential nutrients daily: vitamins A, C, D, E, calcium and magnesium. In order to bridge the gap between what Americans are eating and the nutrients they are lacking, high-quality vitamins can be a great option. Striving for an ideal eating plan should be the ultimate goal, but supplements can provide a solution to help ensure nutrient needs are met daily.
