A memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, Jan. 18 for Nell Faye Gill, who was born on June 2, 1928 in Kansas City, Missouri.

Mrs. Gill graduated from Patterson High School class of 1946. Mrs. Gill worked for Evans Telephone Company and later was a fulltime homemaker. She loved collecting antiques, cooking, sewing, crafts, and reading. She was funny, giving, loved to laugh, and told the best stories about family and friends. We can still hear her say, “hi there! oh phooey! loverly, another fine mess you got us into!, and I love you,” according to her family. She touched the lives of many people, loved her family and friends dearly and was amazing and truly special.

Mrs. Gill married Antone Gill in Washoe County in Nevada on Oct.15, 1949. Together they raised two boys, Tony Gill and Bob Gill. The family ran a cattle operation combined

with hay hauling and construction.

Mrs. Gill is survived by her sons, Tony Gill and wife Jackie of Red Bluff and Bob Gill of Patterson; grandchildren, Alicia Gill of Redding and Kevin Gill and wife Rebekah of Red Bluff; great-granddaughter Mattie Gill of Red Bluff; sister, Linda Lee of Burlingame and brother, Don Lee of Toledo, Ore. Mrs. Gill is preceded in death by her mother Goldie Lee; husband Antone Gill; granddaughter Kristy Gill and grandson Matt Gill.

A memorial service will be conducted at Cornerstone Church of God in Red Bluff on Saturday, Jan.18, 2014 at 12 noon. .
