A funeral service will conducted on Tuesday, Feb.18 for Felipe Lugo Armenta of Patterson, who died on Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014 at Evergreen Nursing and Rehabilitation Care Center in Modesto.

Mr. Armenta, 79, was born in Mexicali, Mexico, and was a resident of Patterson for 40 years. He was a farm laborer for 48 years.

Mr. Armenta is survived by his wife, Mary Armenta of Patterson; sons, Luis Armenta of Westley, Felipe Armenta, Jr. of Merced, Sam Rivera and Mario Armenta, both of Patterson; daughters, Socorro Duarte, Jessie Valtierra and Rosemary Armenta, all of Patterson; brothers, Leonardo Armenta of West Moreland and Donny Martell of Phoenix, Ariz.; sisters, Adela Ruiz and Refujia Arementa, both of Yuma, Ariz. and Frances Martell of Modesto; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be observed from 5 to 7 p.m. followed by an Evening Service at 7 p.m. on Monday, Feb.17 at the United Pentecostal Church in Patterson. A second visitation will be observed at 9 a.m. followed by a Funeral Service at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 18 at United Pentecostal Church in Patterson. Burial will follow at Patterson District Cemetery in Patterson.

Hillview Funeral Chapel, 450 W. Las Palmas Ave., Patterson, is handling the arrangements.
