What good is it if a man gains the whole world but losses his own soul?

Do you believe in life after death? Is there really life after death? Perhaps you may believe in the Bible but are unsure whether there is a Heaven or a Hell.

As a minister of the gospel, I have to inform you that if you believe in the Bible it would be impossible to not believe that there is life after death.

There are literally hundreds of scripture references about Heaven and Hell littered throughout the Bible. And the Bible does not refer to these places as figurative or symbolic places.

According to scripture, heaven and hell are real places that real people go to.

Here’s my heart, Patterson; if what I say is true and accurate, then every person that is reading this article is either going to Heaven or to Hell. There is no in-between. Once a person dies there is no turning back the clock and doing it all over again. You either are in one place or another.

So now comes the obvious question? How does one go to Heaven? I know many different people have many different answers.

But I believe I can sum it up in verse: “… if you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9 (NIV)

If you believe this verse from the Bible, God can save you now from an eternal life of suffering and torment. Pray and ask God to forgive you and ask Him to come into your heart right now.

The next step is to commit yourself to reading the Bible. Ask God to help you find a good church and get involved in that church.

Finally, I leave you with this verse: “For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world, and forfeit his life [in the eternal kingdom of God]?” Mark 8:36 (AMP)

What could be better or worse than living eternity in Heaven or Hell? Certainly gaining everything that this earth has to offer would not suffice for losing your soul for eternity.
