A downtown café near the Plaza Circle in Patterson was robbed Feb. 14 after a man produced an undisclosed weapon and then fled.

When questioned about the incident, Patterson Police Sgt. Paul Yotsuya said on Friday afternoon, Feb. 21, Patterson Police deputies responded immediately to a call of a robbery at Miss Café at 11 Plaza Circle Suite D Feb. 14 around 6 p.m. and immediately began checking the area for a suspect that got away with cash.

Victims described the robber as a black male adult wearing a mask—they could tell skin color by his bare hands. The robber displayed a weapon that police have refused to identify, demanded cash and fled with it towards the Patterson Post Office on El Circulo. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact Patterson Police Services at 892-5071 or an anonymous tip can be left by calling Crime Stoppers at (209) 521-4636. Tipsters can also e-mail tips at http://www.modestopolice.com/CrimeStoppers, or text them to CRIMES (274637) by typing "Tip704" plus the message and be eligible for a cash reward.
