Patterson Police Services served a search warrant in the 1400 block of Cliff Swallow on Tuesday morning, Feb. 25 at 8:30 a.m. regarding electrical theft.

Police Chief Tori Hughes of Patterson Police Services said that Patterson detectives were investigating a theft of more than $20,000 in utilities from Turlock Irrigation District. The investigation stemmed from an anonymous complaint, said Hughes Wednesday afternoon.

During their investigation, authorities found that the home was being used as an indoor marijuana grow home consisting of approximately 75 plants.

Cars lined the streets for the early morning raid, sparking concern from neighboring residents.

Hughes said the responsible party was identified as 29-year-old Scott Ronningen of Patterson. No one else was associated with the crime.
