Scholarship dinner nets $30,000

 The 11th Annual Patterson Recognizing Individuals Determined to Excel Scholarship Dinner/Auction netted $30,056 when the event was held April 5 at Damasco’s Fine Foods and Spirits. PRIDE has raised more than $300,000 in scholarships for graduates of local high schools since its inception. Since 2002, PRIDE has awarded $606,250 in scholarships to 452 graduates. 

The 2014 awards night will be 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 13 at the Clara Johnson Memorial Auditorium at Patterson High, 200 N. Seventh St. where about 65000 in scholarships will be awarded.

The April 5 dinner and auction was a combined effort of PRIDE, Soroptimist, Rotary, Lions Club, MOMs Club, Patterson-Westley Chamber of Commerce, Masonic Lodge, Helping Our Westside and Preceptor Xi Phi sorority. .
