PEF presents two mini-grants

The Patterson Education Foundation presented two $500 mini-grants at the May Patterson Joint Unified School District Art Festival.

One grant went to Las Palmas Elementary School third-grade teacher Christina Anders for math and science.

The other grant was awarded to Alysonn Cassidy and Kennedy Cassidy for the PJUSD After School Wellness Program, which provides food to children in need within the local school district.

PEF supports local teachers within the district with yearly grants. he local group raises money through a Poker Tournament in October, a Wine Tasting Party in February and the “Patterson’s Got Talent Show” in March.

PEF also plans on adding a mystery dinner in conjunction with the Patterson High School Drama Department in September.
