Perfect weather and plenty of sunshine beamed down on the ever-popular Saturday parade during the Apricot Fiesta. The hour-long parade, with the theme “Home Sweet Home,” had more than 60 entries winding through the downtown streets.

Grand Marshal Mike Wright, Miss Patterson and her court, Little Mr. and Miss contestants, and many others marched along before a few entries garnered awards. The top parade awards went to the following entries:

Most Entertaining: Patterson Repertory Theatre Gets Wicked, trophy and $200

Best Float: Patterson Cub Scouts Pack 81, trophy and $300

Most Inspirational: Elijah B. Hayes American Legion Post 168, trophy and $200

Best Marching Band: Patterson High School Marching Band, trophy and $500

Hometown Spirit: Girl Scouts, trophy and $300

Equestrian Grand Sweepstakes: Claudio Arroyo, trophy and $200

Ladies Side Saddle: Quadrille Queens, ribbon

Future Horseman age 8 & under: Payton Gillians & Horse “Dog,” ribbon

Novelty/Fiesta Group: 1st - California State Horseman Association Royalty, 2nd - Quadrille Queens

Charro/Charra Group: 1st - Rancho Los Cervantes, 2nd - Cortez Horse Stalls

Facebook People’s Choice Award went to Patterson 4-H, trophy and $150
