The students were honored as part of the district’s Writing Recognition Program

First-place on the elementary school level was awarded to Autumn Cook, second-place went to Kylie Norton, while third-place winner was Kuljit Uppal. All are third graders at Apricot Valley Elementary School.

On the secondary level, first-place went to Cristian Esquivel, a senior at Patterson High School. Creekside Middle School students, sixth-grader Reanna Martin and eighth-grader Madison Gheen took second and third place, respectively.

Each received a certificate and a gift card for their writing capabilities.
