Arthur Jacob Hoxie and Sara Kathleen Mahan were united in marriage at 5 p.m. Saturday, March 15 in Stillwater, Okla. where they reside. The Rev. Randy Scott led the ceremony.

Sara, originally of Tulsa, Okla., is the daughter of Donald and Melissa Mahan of San Antonio, TX. She graduated from Broken Arrow High School in Broken Arrow, Okla., in 2008 and Northeastern State University May 12, 2014. Sara earned her bachelor’s degree in social work. The couple will be moving to California, where Sara will continue her education through graduate school. Sara is aspiring to get a clinical social work license and start her own practice. Her hobbies are art and yoga.

Arthur is the son of Gerald and Helen Hoxie of Patterson. Arthur graduated from Patterson High School is 2008 and Oklahoma State University May 10, 2014. He earned his bachelor’s degree in business management and entrepreneurship. Arthur likes basketball, snowboarding and golf.

Sara’s best friends, Amanda Hundley of Guthrie, Okla. and Kelsi Hixenbaugh of Broken Arrow, Okla., were her maids of honor. Jorden Motta of Longmont, Colo and Chelsea Rhodes of Broken Arrow Okla., Sara’s best friends, were bridesmaids.

Arthur’s best men were Casey Holgado of Germany and Scott Trinta of San Luis Obispo, formerly of Patterson. His groomsmen were Tommy Sovereign of Oklahoma City, Okla., Chris Hinton of Whispering Pines, N.C.

Austin Mahan of Stillwater, Okla., the brother-in-law of the groom, was an usher.

The reception was at the Payne County Expo Center in Stillwater. The couple honeymooned for five days during a cruise to Cancun, Cozumel, and Progreso out of New Orleans. The newlyweds plan to live in California.
