Participants in the Patterson Aquatics Center’s shallow and deep water aerobics class keep cool during Monday’s record breaking temperatures, which topped out at 106 degrees, according to weather.com. The sweltering triple digit heat wave that swept through the Central Valley over the weekend drew droves of folks to their favorite local watering holes. The pool at the Patterson Aquatics Center reached its 244 person capacity during open swim four times over the past week, forcing pool manager Kelly Nelson to turn some folks away. Open swim pool hours are Monday through Thursday from 12 to 3 p.m., and Friday through Sunday from 12 to 5 p.m. with a cost of $3 per person. The Aquatics Center also offers morning and evening laps swim sessions, swim lessons, as well as water aerobics. For more information on scheduling, prices, swim lessons, and reservations, please contact the Patterson Aquatics Center at 895-8188.
