Priester graduates with Summa Cum Laude honors

Patterson High alumnus Jacob Priester graduated with the highest of honors from Linfield College in Mcminnville, Ore. on June 1, 2014. Priester obtained Summa Cum Laude honors after graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and a minor in Chemistry and Theater.  

Priester, son of Gwen and Randall Priester of Patterson, will begin working as a Scribe at the Mcminnville Hospital while applying to medical school to become an orthopedic surgeon.

Jacob’s family and friends joined him in Mcminnville for the commencement and baccalaureate ceremonies.

During his time at college Jacob earned a spot on the Capital One Division III Academic All American football team as tight end, becoming the Linfield Wildcats’ first honoree since 2005. Jacob was also President of Theta Chi Fraternity during his four years at Linfield College.
