Local teens recognized for art

The Patterson High School artists who participated in the Turlock Regional Art Show on May 2 earned honors and were recognized at the Monday, June 2 Patterson Joint Unified School District board meeting.

PHS junior Jean Salenga earned second-place while senior Jovannah Arrington earned an honorable mention for their black and white drawings. PHS senior Neakolas Knezevich took home a first-place honor for his black and white photography.

Senior Rebecca Estrada Aguila took home second-place for her color drawing.

Students from throughout Stanislaus County submitted works to the juried exhibition hosted by California State University Stanislaus Art Gallery.

Would have been a good idea to have included a picture of the art.
