Mayor Luis Molina announced his plans to have an Independence Day celebration at the Veteran’s Memorial Park near the downtown circle on the morning of the Fourth of July. The celebration service will run from 9 to 10:30 a.m.

Although a representative of Patterson, Mayor Molina said the celebration is not sponsored by the City. Rather, it is an event put on by Molina and his family as a way of honoring of our country’s veterans.

Mayor Molina, who is also a veteran, said it is a top priority to honor those who sacrificed the welfare of their lives to keep the country secure, and make it possible for the community to celebrate and enjoy the freedoms they protect.

“For me, it’s not about fireworks and barbecues but honoring veterans,” Molina said.
