Patterson library offers a variety of free programs for July

Plenty of programs are offered at the Patterson Library, 46 N. Salado Ave., for family members of all ages during the month of July. The local library will take a break from the Monday Wiggle Worms programs and the Tuesday Preschool Storytime, both of which will resume in August.

Children’s Craft, 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 9: Local youth are invited to make a squirrel. Materials will be provided.

Invest in Me, 2 p.m., Saturdays, July 12 and 26: Invest in Me is a young women’s Empowerment program that aims to provide young women with opportunities for self-development and growth on a personal and professional level, help them build skills to become leaders in their schools and communities, and provide guidance and mentorship for transitioning into higher education and/or a career path.

Game Day, 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 16: Youth are invited to hang out with friends and participate in the games, crafts and fun

Dave the Horn Guy, 12:30 p.m., Thursday, July 17: Dressed in an orange jumpsuit with 25 horns strapped to his body, Dave delivers an interactive, multimedia, musical experience like no other. This program is for all ages to enjoy.

The Patterson Branch Library is open Monday and Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from noon to 5 p.m.
