Blood pressure clinic is open to all

The Patterson Parks and Recreation Department will sponsor a free blood pressure clinic from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday, June 8, at the Patterson Library, 46 N. Salado Ave. The clinic is open to community members of all ages.

Morris will perform in Newman

Nationally acclaimed entertainer, songwriter and recording artist Joni Morris will return to Newman for “Portrait of Patsy Cline” at 7 p.m. July 25.

Morris tours with the After Midnight Band for her show based on the music of Patsy Cline. Audience members will hear such Cline songs as “Crazy,” “Sweet Dreams” and “I Fall to Pieces.” Morris draws from her vast repertoire of standards and originals while adding her own brand of comedy. Doors open at the West Side Theatre, 1331 Main St., Newman, at 7 p.m. The show begins at 8 p.m. Tickets, which are on sale now, are $25 general admission and $28 for reserved seating.
