Blood pressure clinic is open to all

The Patterson Parks and Recreation Department will sponsor a free blood pressure clinic from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 12, at the Patterson Library, 46 N. Salado Ave. The clinic is open to community members of all ages.

Keep feet warm with new socks

Local resident Beverly Lucey is aiming to collect 10 cases of new white socks to be donated to San Luis Convalescent Hospital in Newman in time for winter. Lucey will collect socks throughout Patterson by stopping by local businesses from now until Dec. 15 to pick up sock donations. Individuals, clubs, churches and school groups can also collect socks.
