The Howard Training Center Senior Meal Program provides lunches at the Hammon Senior Center, 1033 W. Las Palmas Ave. Lunch is served at noon Monday through Friday. The suggested donation is $2 for those age 60 and older. Those younger than 60 must pay $4.50. Reservations should be made a day in advance by calling 892-5957 before noon. All meals are served with 8 ounces of milk.

Thursday, Jan. 7: Chicken cacciatore with pasta, mixed vegetables, fresh fruit, orange juice and wheat roll

Friday: Beef stroganoff, steamed rice, dilled carrots, green salad with dressing, orange, whole-wheat roll

Monday, Jan. 11: Oven-baked chicken, mashed potatoes with country gravy, creamy coleslaw, mixed fruit, wheat roll

Tuesday: Beef pasta casserole, broccoli, tossed green salad with dressing, peaches, French bread

Wednesday: Beef pepper steak, rice, green salad with dressing, carrot-broccoli mix, pineapple, cornbread muffin

Thursday: Tuna salad croissant, carrot-raisin salad, mandarin oranges, juice

Friday: Open-face hot turkey sandwich, gravy, sweet potatoes, tossed green salad with dressing, fresh orange

Monday, Jan 18: Closed for Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday

Tuesday: Chicken Parmesan with steamed rice, green beans, green salad with dressing, fresh orange, wheat roll

Wednesday: Lemon-baked fish, steamed garlic spinach, three-bean salad, peaches, wheat roll

Thursday: Barbecue chicken, corn, creamy coleslaw, apricots, cornbread

Friday: Turkey tetrazzini, broccoli, green salad with dressing, mixed fruit, wheat roll

Monday, Jan. 25: Pasta and meatballs, steamed broccoli, carrot-raisin salad, pears, wheat roll

Tuesday: Turkey sandwich on wheat bread, tossed green salad with dressing, vegetable soup, pineapple-orange juice

Wednesday: Chicken fajitas with peppers and onions, flour tortilla, yellow corn, apricots

Thursday: Hamburger on a bun with tomato and red onion, green salad with dressing, potato salad, fresh orange

Friday: Roast pork, mashed potatoes, gravy, peas and carrots, mandarin oranges, homemade biscuit
